Little Mix Secure New Millennium Chart Record With Glory Days

  • After successfully conquering the latter half of 2016 with recording breaking first week sales, British girl group Little Mix continue to rule pop charts around the world. This includes their native land, where their new record Glory Days has just broke a massive U.K. chart record – becoming the longest running #1 girl group album of the millennium!

Past super group Destiny’s Child initially held this record for 4 weeks with their multi-platinum album, Survivor, which also hit #1 on the official U.K. album chart in 2001.

Little Mix’s international success and constant press mania has been compared to the Spice Girls who two decades ago dominated the late 90’s era with a dose of bubblegum and teen pop.

Earlier last year, the group were also presented with a dazzling honor in being the highest selling U.K arena tour act, selling over 300,000 tickets alone. Grossing approximately 24.5 million dollars, the quartet earned a spot at #5 on the 10 Highest Grossing Girl Group Concert Tours Of All Time list.

Their album was also showered with favorable to positive reviews, with Apple Music calling the vocal girl group “the pride of British pop”.

In regards to worldwide success, the group have noted that they still have a bucket list of goals to accomplish. This includes winning a Grammy and of course a Brit award. Selling out Madison Square Garden is also on that lengthy list as well.

They’ll be in America the next three months to promote single “Shout Out To My Ex” – this includes radio stops – and supporting the states’ current pop princess, Ariana Grande, on tour.
