Over the past five days, a crapload of new images, posters and magazine covers have been released to support and promote Thor: The Dark World. This is what happens when your star goes totally MIA for months of promotional work!! I’m talking about Chris Hemsworth. The only reason Chris hasn’t gotten more press for his lack of promotional work is because Tom Hiddleston has been going the extra mile to appease the fan-boys and fan-girls. The Dark World comes out November 8th… will Chris even come to the premieres?
And so in Chris’s absence, the producers have pretty much made Hiddleston/Loki EQUAL to Thor. For every magazine cover Thor gets, Loki must get a cover too. For every Thor poster, there must be a Loki poster. I mean… I guess it’s smart marketing. Hollywood is enamoured with Chris Hemsworth and they’re trying to make him into the next big thing, but Hiddleston is winning friends and influencing people by his eagerness to be a team player. Personally, I would rather see a movie about the inner workings of Marvel as they try to figure out who to put front and center during this promotional tour.
Here’s something I didn’t realize before now – Christopher Eccleston is the bad guy! He plays Malekith The Accursed. Not to be confused with Malekith The Falsely Accused But Really He’s A Good Guy. You can see more images from The Dark World here.
So, between Loki and Thor, Hiddles and Hemsworth, who would I rather bang? Chris has the better body, but I CAN’T with his face. I’m sorry. I can’t. So I would bang Hiddles. And I say that knowing that the foreplay would probably be three hours of him acting out various plays in between stories about his UNICEF work, and knowing full well that he would probably weep into his pillow after we banged. Ugh. Yeah. Maybe I will choose Thor.
